Floor Sample/ Part One

Julia Cameron is probably best known for being the creative genius behind the best- selling book, The Artists Way. Have you read it? If you are an artsy, imaginative, creative soul then you must get your hands on it.

Floor Sample is Julia's memoir, her story, her path. This woman is truly amazing and what she has been through will blow your mind. It's comforting to know that creative people like Julia, like myself, like my friends, live inside our minds and struggle with intense emotions and thoughts and surges of inventiveness. Maybe those feelings are part of the artistic process? I know that my logical, analytical, math- minded friends don't understand me like my artistic pals do. And Julia gets it all, for she's been to hell and back.

Julia's life has taken her back and forth from New York to Taos, New Mexico to Los Angeles and back around again. She struggled with drugs, alcoholism, depression, failed marriages including a high profile marriage to Martin Scorsese. A teacher, screenwriter, poet, song writer, mother, wife, she calls herself a Floor Sample for all that she is.

What a journey this book is. Holy hell. It's amazing she pulled through the madness of her artistic realm! @ 8:15 PM

I noticed in your review that Julia Cameron lived in Taos NM. That is where Natalie Goldberg lived as well. She is the woman who wrote Writing Down the Bones, the book I told you about when you brought up the Artist's Way. I bet the two women have met and talked about writing process. @ 5:07 PM

Nice story as for me. I'd like to read something more concerning this theme. Thank you for posting that material.
